Potential Student Initiators & New Leaders

Watch this tribute to International Institute for Sustained Dialogue founder and president Hal Saunders, honoring his lifelong commitment to dialogue and diplomacy and calling for future generations to design change in their communities through Sustained Dialogue.

I believe that implementation of Sustained Dialogue on our campus has enabled members of the community to come together as a close knit family, instead being a community of strangers and associates. Personally, there are some people in SD that I might not have ever considered being friends with, if it were not for participating. But now I am really good friends with group members that are my complete polar opposite.

I am proud to be part of an organization that embodies such diversity, acceptance, and honesty. This is how to make large-scale societal change in the ways we interact, from the collegiate level.

Our priorities for 2012 are to enhance and deepen the work of students, communities, and workplaces nationally and internationally. We are hosting a Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Inclusive Leadership Workshop, our Annual Student Summit in Cleveland, Ohio in February, Dartmouth Conference convenings, and continued work with our partners to engage differences as strengths. Our earned revenue has increased by 300% in the past two years. Individual, corporate, and foundation gifts make the rest of our work possible. As demand for our work continues to grow, your contribution of any size will help provide individuals with skills for a lifetime.

The power of your contribution:

$35 will enable us to provide leadership manuals and resources to one SD student at the Annual Summit in February 2012
$50 will enable us to provide leadership manuals and resources to one student to mobilize impact on campus
$100 will enable us to support one student through one month of dialogue-to-action
$250 will enable us to provide a partial sponsorship for one student to attend our Annual Summit
$500 will enable us to sponsor one semester of dialogue-to-action at one of our schools
$1,000 will enable us to support two students to attend our Annual Summit
$1,500 will enable us to cover expenses for one Inclusive Leadership and Moderator Training workshop for students at a member campus
