Join us in January for SD Corps Training!
Transform relationships...Design change in your community.
The problem
Navigating diversity is tough, especially in a nation without many shared experiences. Being an effective leader, however, means knowing how to engage differences in order to meet your mission, allow individuals to thrive, and build a cohesive community.A solution
That’s where the Sustained Dialogue® model comes in. Developed over decades of experience in international peacekeeping, Sustained Dialogue equips leaders with the skills needed to realize and leverage the strengths of a diverse team. Organizations, communities, and college campuses are using the SD system to cultivate genuine relationships, create spaces for learning, and mobilize teams toward positive change. You can be a part of it!
Building off of the success of our pilot summer session and to meet expressed demand, we are thrilled to invite you to the 2012 SD Corps Training. This 3-day, interactive, Train-the-Trainer program will guide you through SD’s proven dialogue-to-action model and will give you the confidence and ability to facilitate inclusive meetings and dialogues. The training will be led by Dr. Hal Saunders (founder of SD), Dr. Phil Stewart, Amy Lazarus, Rhonda Fitzgerald, and Sasha Kapur.Previous participants are applying their learnings in nonprofit, corporate, government, community, and educational contexts. Reflections from past training graduates include:
"Today
I truly learned what it meant to actively
listen even when a view is proposed that
drastically differs from my own. I learned…
how to unpack a statement and ask questions
that would get to the key issues behind
comment/perspective.”
“As a result of the creative and thoughtful guidance of SDCN, my team of fellows was able to successfully lead round table discussions at a weekend conference on 'Building Change' that gathered ideas for long-term transformation for the city.”
“Thanks to implementing Sustained Dialogue in my organization…we will be able to work together in ways I never imagined possible.”
