SDCN is excited to announce the receipt of a $10,000 matching grant from the Foundation for Global Community.  The grant is a supplement to a $50,000 anchor grant that will support SDCN’s continued growth and expansion as it works to train, mentor, and connect student leaders who initiate and sustain dialogues to build cohesive, engaged, and diverse campus communities across the country.

“The funds from both grants will help support key programmatic activities, such as our Student Leadership Retreats and resources for students,” said Executive Director Amy Lazarus.  “The matching grant is also an exciting opportunity for SDCN to increase our base of supporters.  It will have a big impact on the organization as we move into 2010 and work to develop additional sources of funding.  Individual donors are a key priority in this strategy and the matching grant will serve as motivation for new donors to support SDCN. ”

“Because the dedicated, high-principled young adults successfully continue creating and perpetuating student-driven change and relationship building on more and more campuses nationwide, we at the Foundation for Global Community confidently support SDCN,” said Libby Traubman, FGC Trustee.  “SDCN’s impact and success is inspiring, sustainable, and exemplary for other youth and campuses to replicate worldwide.”

The $10,000 matching grant comes at the 10th anniversary of the creation of the first Sustained Dialogue group at Princeton University.  SDCN is reaching out to key stakeholders in its network, including alumni, to help reach the goal of raising the funds by June 30, 2010.  Only contributions from new, individual donors will count towards the $10,000 goal.  Contributions can be made at www.sdcampusnetwork.org/support or you can make a one time donation by using the links below.
